    Default I, Vampire #3 spoilers/discussion

So, this book keeps getting better, in my opinion. Here we were introduced to two new supporting characters, John, Andrew's old friend and Tig, a young vampire hunter.

I like how this issue was told from the perspective of John, it really helped develop Andrew's character.

Two things I really loved about this issue in particular:

    1. Mary's message she left for Andrew (in reference to where they'll be in issue #5 )
    2. The revelation that John speaks of toward the end, about how Andrew could easily stop Mary, but choses not to. Just another layer of complexity to Andrew's feelings about Mary, and... now that I think about it, a possible end to the story if the book ever get's cancelled... let's hope not.

The two-page spread of Andrew with two swords cutting off that vampire chicks head is delicious.

I thought it was particularly interesting about the age of vampires, as well as their sire's mortality, determining if they are truly immortal. Is that common vampire lore? I've never heard it before. Definitely an interesting twist, imo.
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.

Awesome issue. This is by far one of the sleeper hits of the the relaunch. Love the story, and the art is amazing -- very Jae Lee in certain respects.

    Really good issue.

I am really enjoying this series, and this issue is no different. I'm definitely a fan of John and loved that we were able to get so much insight into Andrew's character through his narrations.

The relationship between Andrew and Mary just keeps getting more and more complex, huh? This is going to be a VERY interesting series. I can't wait for further interaction between these two. I love Mary's message at the end about heading to Gotham; it was a great page to look at.

Not sure how I feel about Tig yet, but having a fun-loving character in such a murky world could potentially work. I loved her enthusiasm about going on the road trip.

Interesting tid bit about Andrew's power to draw people toward him. Is that a twist on a vampire's powers to compel people to do their bidding?

I can't wait for next issue, why can't it be here already?

    Thumbs up

Just so you guys know this art might seem cool but the artist is simply taking photographs and digitally going over them. It's actually really simple because there isn't much drawing involved. But there is a lot of picture taking involved. I believe the artist used the same face picture of Mary a couple of times. Even for Tig.

Another amazing issue! :) I like the direction Fialkov is giving to the story, and really can't wait to see how Batman and Constantine will be involved in it! :)

This book is just so, so strong.

It's not that anything particularly new or incredible is being done here, it's just that the pacing and the craft is so on point.

That's really selling it short in my opinion. He isn't just tracing. There's lots of this that you can't reference. An example would be Andrew's werewolf form.

    Simply Amazing.

Every comic creator who ever wants to do a vampire story in the future should read this series to see how its done right.

I'm the same - I'm finally sold on what they're trying to do here.

Damn straight. Those flashback scenes were Andrew and John (and the vamps) were especially sweet.
