Just wondering what the latest information is on a sequel for GL. I read some articles towards the end of the summer that Warner was contemplating a second movie but have not heard much since.
Any updates?

Just unfounded rumors with no sources other then gossip-movie sites.
The last official word was basically "Wow this movie performed really poorly, maybe we'll do a sequel"
And since then the flick has continued to perform poorly compared to it's contemporaries.Don't worry.

It did better than Watchmen (although that's not saying much).

I think a crossover with Marvel would work. They could have Dust Bunny Parallax and Dusty Bunny Galactus attack the Earth and Thor and Hal could fight them.
The first GL movie was so stupid. I'd rather see a Hector sequel, I liked him the best.

GL doing well in DVD sales. And it almost did as well as x-men first class.

What does the Wonder Woman forum have to do with this? The entire point of my comment was that the only place to bash the Green Lantern movie would be on the Green Lantern forum. I think the main problem with the movie was that they focused so much on setting up a sequel they forgot to make the first movie good. IMO they should have just adapted First Flight into a live action movie. I think having the whole movie be about Hal's induction/training into the Corps would have been much more interesting. We couldve seen a lot more of the Corps, the audience could have "followed" hals story as they also got familiar with the working of the corps and it would have given him more interaction and connection with Sinestro which would have made him going bad all the more impactful.
