Emma stomps her if she forces Selene into a TP battle right off the bat.
Otherwise Selene drains the life out of her.
It would never get to that point - Emma TP's her at the bell I'd think. FWIW, Selene never really dared challenge Emma when they were both in Hellfire, and that was pre-diamond. Rachel stomped Selene, and while Emma's not nearly as powerful, she's MUCH more skilled than Marvel Girl.

For what it's worth, I think the real winners here would be the fans....
Pure telepathic duel would probably go to Emma. If Selene brings her physical or arcane abilities out then it is another story
By default it's an arena fight with the gladiators in question starting out 100 feet apart. Selene's other non-prep abilities aren't going to matter - she'll never get close enough to use them, since they pretty much require touch, outside of tree manipulation. And there are no trees in the arena.
Everyone on this forum gets a gold star for going this long without posting a "it ends in sex" comment in this thread.
A woman can move a lot faster with her skirt up than a man can with his pants down.
From the OP pics? It ends in TENTACLE sex.![]()

Unless they changed her powers (and I haven't been reading X-men in a while so they might have) she didn't control trees. She controlled inorganic matter. I remember one old favorite trick of her was to cause the floor to twist up around a person and cocoon or crush them.By default it's an arena fight with the gladiators in question starting out 100 feet apart. I always suspected Selene was one of the mutants that manipulate an exotic energy (such as the Darkforce) In he case life energy. Hence the animation of inanimate objects, life drain and other effects shes been seen to pull.
Anyway, I question her being lesser than Emma Frost in TP. Frost was always written as bush-league TP compared to the Xaviers. Whereas Selene, weak from going up against Rachel Grey Phoenix could engage classic Xavier for an extended amount of time and when she found that to be a poor strategy, go "invisble" telephatically while Xaviers attention was on her.
Personally, I suspect that while she is less than the Xaviers in power, maybe even less than Frost, seventeen thousand years of skill matters a lot in TP combat. Her TP may not even be mutant in nature, some humans in the MU have TP potential and magical training often seems to bring out such things.
Hey CBR, What do you think "The Age of Selene" would be like?
