The issue here is that for comic fans, this isn't something different. But for movie fans, it will be something very different.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if George died in the first film and Gwen in the sequel. Especially since it really does seem that spoilers:

I was being optomistic about Gwen being in three movies. I guess will find out in a couple of weeks.

I thought Gwen was a great character, but I wouldnt want her to come back. Her death, like Ben's, is too important to the mythos. In some respects, the book never truly recovered its greatness since Gwen's death.

I confirmed that myself. Though, she said she plans to do at least two more. And is in the next two.

I wonder whether they will kill Gwen in this series or not. I think it's too close to the Raimi trilogy to do, but I don't see Garfield or Stone sticking around for more than three films.

There are rumors going around that Gwen is going to bite it in ASM 2. Do what you can (write letters, sign petitions, like facebook pages) to prevent it.

There's been some chatter that instead of following the books, they may introduce MJ only to kill HER off--she'd sort of become the movie version of Gwen. I would be surprised if that happened, but one never knows. They multilated his suit in this version as well. ;)

Introducing a character only to kill them off doesn't exactly have all that much emotional appeal. Which is also why its understandable that Gwen didn't die in the first one.

I know nothing about 616 Gwen, my Gwen is from 1610. MJ as a character has grown and layers was added, but with Gwen she still a blank slate. I think we all can agree that Sin Past never happen.

Do you think they should what happened for how Norman got Gwen pregnant, or is it better to remain unknown?
