I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually looking forward to a Prophet comic! First time for everything, I guess. What I don't get is how this ends up being issue 21. The first series ran 10 issues, 11 if you include the requisite 90's #0 issue. Series 2 ran 8 issues. That looks like only 19 to me. Is there a one shot I'm missing that would be considered part of the main series?

11 issues from first Image series
8 issues from second Image series
1 issue from 2000, from Awesome.

Based on the preview art and story, I'm going to check this out. Plus it has almost nothing to do with Liefeld! Lol

This looks intriguing, I really dig the art and setting. Have been itching for a good sci-fi comic for a while now. Image, keep 'em coming!

I'm a fan of early Image comics (which isn't to say I think they're all good) and with Wildstorm having been fully integrating into the DCU now, I'm actually looking forward to this relaunch.

Figured this is the better thread to post something like this:

LIEFELD & GRAHAM Talk PROPHET vs. PROPHET @ Newsarama

Interesting stuff, it's a shame this series is not getting the amount of praise it deserves.

Now, I'm not everywhere at once, so I could be wrong. But I'm pretty sure Prophet is getting a lot of praise from a lot of sources right now. It seems very successful so far, critically

I'm surprised it didn't get Eisner noms considering the amount of buzz this series is getting. I bet it'll get at least a nom or two in next years' if it keeps it up.
