I recall one tidbit where Jadzia Dax was telling Sisko that one of her previous hosts got it on with Bones (ba dam TSS). At the time, Dax was a gymnast, and Bones had the hands of a surgeon. You go, McCoy.

Lol I must have missed that.

I loved DS9 more than TNG. I have only watched a few episodes of the Orginal though. I think I have watched just about every episode of DS9, TNG, Voyager and even Enterprise.

Don't bother, it's overrated as hell.

TNG and DS9 are superior in every conceivable way.

It took about two years on average for either TNG or DS9 to get good. Voyager and Enterprise never got good.

TOS started out being fun from the gate.

Yes the acting in TOS was over the top but you got these cheezy fun fight scenes nearly every episode.

That or a hot chick in a mini skirt.

Sometimes both.

Those episode were like 60's Marvel comics with real people in them.

The characters on the modern shows seem kinda emasucated in comparison (with the exception of Sisko and I'll never forgive Trek for how they ended his story).

Priest is only half right about Trek, IMO.

For all its flaws, it was still the only show where you got to see actors like Avery Brooks and Tony Todd (Candyman) work on the regular.

The thing was modern Trek had a strong subtext that had rulebreaking and maverickdom as wrong and bad and foolish. The Klingons were tough, but not smart(.

So where Spock was a badass (and even Sulu got to come off as kind off a badass), Ensign Kim, Chakotay and Torrez never came off to me as anything but punks.

TNG was alright but was a huge bore at times imo. The only good episodes involved the Romulans and/or Klingons and they wimped the Klingons out terribly. The Klingons in DS9 were far, far better.
