DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE HELL THIS IS FROM!!!? I MUST READ IT!
I decided to see how Red Tails , did overall after so many weeks in the box office. At this point if Lucas wants a sequel he better hope the home video sales save it. Because at this point Red Tails only made $49+ million at the box office and the production budget Lucas covered was $58 million. Thats not counting the $35+ million he poured into distribution and promoting it. Lucas gets props for putting a near $100 million of his own money into this project.
Another film released at the same time really stunned me . Act of Valor had no big name cast and was shot on the cheap for $12 million and another $10-12 million for promotion. Yet the film did pretty big and has made over $72+ million at the box office.

Also for any men who enjoy drinking a lot of soy milk watch out it has a lot of unnecessary estrogen which is not good if you consume a lot regularly
Lucus spent too much money making Red Tails. Should have held back a bit. There was no way it was going to clear 100 mil
So Gambit gets a ANOTHER shot at an ongoing, while Storm has yet to get ONE.
These guys wanna approach DC with a pitch 2 do a live action series
STATIC SHOCK: REDEMPTION.... FILM FUNDRAISER
7 days left!
Flexible Funding campaign.....This campaign will receive all of the funds contributed by Sun Apr 22 at 11:59PM PT
Thank you for taking the time to visit our campaign page to raise funds for the production of our Static Shock Fan Film!
In June of 1993, Dwayne McDuffie created "Static", a comic book series about a young teenager named Virgil Hawkins living in the midst of gang violence and inner city struggles in the fictional city of Dakota. Static was one of the first (and only) African American superheroes to star in his own comic, and in 2000 even went on to star in the hit series "Static Shock" for 52 half-hour episodes. The "Static Shock" series was important as it was an inspiring, uplifting superhero cartoon that successfully reached out to young men and women, and brought McDuffie's work into the limelight and center stage.
We, the award-winning producers of the Fan Film "Static Shock: Redemption", have always been fans of "Static Shock", and are creating this high-def, high-quality short film to bring Static BACK in the form of a live-action series. We hope for our trailer-format film to go viral and draw attention, so that we may pitch the idea to DC comics.
Why are we doing this?
1.) We feel the story of "Static Shock" deserves to be retold.
2.) To honor the late Dwayne McDuffie's work.
3.) We've reached a point in our career where a large-scale production like this simply doesn't "scare us". We have done this. We can do this. We will do this.
How you can help!
We need funds for the following:
FOOD for our pro-bono cast and crew!
Submissions to comic conventions!
Check out our perks over to the right. If you donate to our film, your name WILL be associated with the project! We desperately need help in financing this effort!
Thank you for your support! If you have questions, please feel free to contact me at benjamin (dot) dewhurst (at) g mail (dot) com.

good luck to them....but the folks running this do realize that Static is a WB/DC property, and any aspirations (outside of an internet fan film) have to be OK'd by WB
