Thats what I thought the Defenders team was for..taking characters that couldnt hold down atitle a chance..

But did anyone else pick up Danger Club #1? I definitely thought it was the best book of the week and one of the highlights was that it featured a Black Male that was not only a magic user, but the most powerful member of his team. It also featured an Asian Female on the assault team as well, so the title was definitely a diverse one.

If you haven't picked it, I'd say give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.

That thinking is pretty much how Fraction ended up writing a Defenders book.

He WANTED to do a Doc Strange book.

The Defenders was the alternative given/suggested to him. The thinking being that while Strange can't carry a book on his own, put Namor, Iron Fist, Hulk and Red She Hulk next to him in that same book and it has a chance.

Yes I mentioned it a couple pages ago, not only has it so far shown minority members on a team better in the first issue it doubles the fact that it was a good read and didn't pull no Tom Coonery type mess, when my only gripe is that the Nick Fury looking kid and the asian girl need some more lines ten you have my $3 bucks

There's a discussion thread in the DC section, and well... I have a feeling it's going to go downhill.

As does any discussion on the DC boards about race, already people are saying "her story hasn't been told" when it doesn't take a genius to see that it won't or else she wouldn't have been killed off in 8 pages. I wonder how long it'll take until someone says "it was Black Manta, he's black so it's ok"
