Edit- Sorry. Are you talking about Steve Harvey? If so, he doesn't say anything religious in the movie. The movie itself is not religious and it's a decent movie. But I can understand if you wouldn't want to watch the movie if you are sticking with your beliefs. I understand. I'm dead serious.
I don't support bigots in any way, and I expect that he makes part of the profits from this. that is the Same reason I stoped giving kids copies of Enders game. It just a fetish of mine that I don't give any money to people who openly despise me or my family for what we are.

I have no problem with anyone who wants to see the movie, but that scumbag is not getting any of my money if I can help it.

Official Full Synopsis For "Django Unchained" Released!
    News by Tambay | April 13, 2012 12:32 PM
    http://blogs.indiewire.com/shadowand...4-123138165f92

    :

Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award®-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award®-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles - dead or alive.

Success leads Schultz to free Django, though the two men choose not to go their separate ways. Instead, Schultz seeks out the South's most wanted criminals with Django by his side. Honing vital hunting skills, Django remains focused on one goal: finding and rescuing Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), the wife he lost to the slave trade long ago.

Django and Schultz's search ultimately leads them to Calvin Candie (Academy Award®-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio), the proprietor of "Candyland," an infamous plantation where slaves are groomed by trainer Ace Woody (Kurt Russell) to battle each other for sport. Exploring the compound under false pretenses, Django and Schultz arouse the suspicion of Stephen (Academy Award®-nominee Samuel L. Jackson), Candie's trusted house slave. Their moves are marked, and a treacherous organization closes in on them.

If Django and Schultz are to escape with Broomhilda, they must choose between independence and solidarity, between sacrifice and survival...

Written and directed by Academy Award®-winner Quentin Tarantino, DJANGO UNCHAINED is produced by Stacey Sher, Reginald Hudlin and Pilar Savone. The executive producers are Harvey and Bob Weinstein, Michael Shamberg, Shannon McIntosh, and James Skotchdopole. DJANGO UNCHAINED will be released in the U.S. on December 25, 2012, and internationally by Sony Pictures.

Dwayne Johnson Will Join A Secret Order Charged w/ Protecting Humanity In "Lore"
    News by Tambay | April 12, 2012 8:41 PM

    http://blogs.indiewire.com/shadowand...manity-in-lore

Jeezus! This guy just keeps piling on the projects! From one to the next, with practically no breaks between. I guess you get while the getting's good as the saying goes, right?

Dwayne Johnson is said to be attached to star in a new sci-fi action project titled Lore for Warner Bros., which is being described as "Men In Black with mythological creatures."

The script is based on a graphic novel of the same name by Ashley Wood and T.P. Lousie.

Never heard of it, but some digging revealed that this is a project that was actually first announced as a pick up in 2010, when the writers sold the rights to the book; I guess they've spent the last year and a half or so working on the screenplay adaptation which is said to have been sold for 7 figures in what was a bidding war between WB, Paramount and Sony.

The story is said to be about a man who is reluctantly drawn into a secret order calling themselves the Shepherds, who are charged with protecting humanity from the monsters and witches of folklore.

Lore was originally published in 2003 as a five issue [...comix] limited series.

Official Poster & Trailer Premiere For Noel Clarke's Sci-Fi Horror "Storage 24"
    News by Tambay | April 12, 2012 12:46 PM

    http://blogs.indiewire.com/shadowand...ror-storage-24

Clarke's been a really busy man over the last 2 or so years, doing just about everything it seems - acting, directing, producing, writing, etc; I'd say he's maybe the most prominent black British movie talent who's still unknown outside the UK - specifically here in the USA. We all know about favorites like Idris Elba, Sophie Okonedo, Thandie Newton, and Chiwetel Ejiofor especially; but Clarke seems to have reserved himself strictly for UK audiences. But that's likely soon to change, as he'll be co-starring in the Star Trek sequel,
We couldnt agree mo with d bold.

on current his slate are the aforementioned sci-fi horror Storage 24, a rom-com titled The Knot, a sports drama called Fast Girls, and a yet-to-be-titled MMA feature, all of which are to be released in 2012. There's also the UK version of Bad Boys he and Ashley Walters are developing (the script is written).

You sitting up there talking to a dude and he tells you he’s an atheist, you need to pack it up and go home. You talking to a person who don’t believe in God . . . what’s his moral barometer? Where’s it at? It's nowhere.

Eugene Levy can play in some good movies and a lot of bad ones "The Man" . The guy has a decent track record. I don't know about yet another Midea movie. At this rate what does Tyler Perry do next ? "Madea Goes to Space !"

And my main belief is ...Steve Harvey isn't funny at all. I mean that is why I never watched. His TV show made me realize just how boring he is. Also he had Cedric the Entertainer on as a character. But really ... the guy had talent but really on this crap fest of a show was wasted.

So my belief is ... money wasted on Steve Harvey could be better spent on Chris Rock , Dave Chappelle or a classic Richard Pryor concert DVD.

It's kinda moving slow but I don't see how you could make it move any faster and explain stuff(who are these folks and why do they all want the main character dead?) at the same time.
Picked up and read my copy today. I enjoyed it, there's some explanations coming at us to help us with what's going on, but nothing for me to really care for the main lead. I also don't think she would have been as calm and relax as she's been. Just seems off.

Loved that Ogun and Kalfu are directly involved with the main plot. I was shocked to hear of a character having an affair with them. Yeesh.

I'm finding more enjoyment based on my own knowledge of some of these characters and mythology. I honestly can't see much people without an interest or some knowledge of Vodou-lore caring with this book at the rate its going.

Harvey is intolerant and ignorant of those that don't believe in his antiquated belief system, he only went clean because he knew it would expand his fanbase with more believers
