If he were a psychic vampire though wouldn't he have been able to better withstand what Elixir did to him? It just looked like he tried to use his normal powers on Elixir and it didn't work. Plus did Selene really give her inner circle upgrades? Mortis, Senyaka, and Blink appeared to have none.

DID Selene and Kevin, you know, 'do it?' I was under the impression that Externals like Selene were immortal, but not invincible. Selene herself proved that when she killed the others (fun fact, apparently that arc had to be cut short because the Highlander people threatened to sue). So, shouldn't Kevin's powers work on her?

Selene was immune to Kevin's powers, they made out in the issue she recruited him. It was a good issue, lots of Academy X references.

Magma is; there was actually a miniseries where they teamed up. They had to bring in Red Skull to be the villain in order to make Selene having the moral high ground believable!

Well certainly characters with death powers would seem likely to be related to her although others like Magma as well so Wither might very well be a distant relative. Characters like Threnody would be under consideration as well.
