Yeha, Surge was actually written pretty well for once, and not just "lets have her be angry to generate some artificial conflict." Also liked how Gage structured her opposition not as "we need to escape because we love Hope to pieces," but "they have no right to hold us for something we haven't done yet, here or anywhere." And Dust and X-23's little chat was pretty nice too. In terms of the NXM, this was written well.

Surge wasn't a bitch this issue. She was reasonable and I wish she(and everyone else) had more fight in them.

Last issue of AA left a sour taste in my mouth. I actually enjoyed it though it made me feel sorry/mad about the way the X-Kids are being treated. Wolvie actually agreed to the Avengers kids using violence if the X-Babies don't behave ? That's just sick and unhealthy from both perspectives. Don't the Avengers fear that their proteges will turn out to be villains ? Encouraging that kind of comportment is certainly not gonna help and from the mutants perspective I don't see how it would make them feel welcome or protected.

I totally forgot about the AA while at the comic book store. Did Pixie do anything or comfront Laura while she was there?
