An odd assemblage of cards, isn't it?

I have another question. I bought 8 packs with which to play some kind of "sealed" format with one other person. Looking for opinions from the experienced TCG players... would it be better (i.e. more fun) to just each open up four packs and use that as a deck, or to implement some sort of draft system?

I think draft would be better, and you could get by with 4 packs per person to draft for the 40 card deck. I think if you want to play sealed, then you would need to play with 6 packs per person to give them options. I've been thinking about this as well, but haven't quite figured out the number of packs for sealed. If you break 4 and play then it's total luck on what you get. If you play with 6 then you can have some options and introduce the skill of building a deck in to the environment. I think drafting would be better with 5 packs per person, but I think you could get by with 4. My .02

Flip a coin to determine who starts. Person 1 picks one card, person 2 picks two, person 1 picks two, person 2 picks two and so on until person 1 picks one card to get to 40.

Drafting with two people doesn't really work for competition, but it can still be fun. Drafts are all about trying to figure out what kind of decks the other players might be building while building the best deck of your own. With two people you know what cards the other player took.

Competitive drafting is usually done with 8 players around a table. You open the first pack and take the card you want most. After a minute, the pack is passed to the left and each player picks a second card. Continue picking and passing until the cards are gone from the first pack. Then a second pack, passing right. In this game you would probably draft with five packs each, then build a 40 card deck since you usually draft a few more cards than you need.

The Koala streak of terrible luck is getting out of hand here. Two straight early lucky blocks for Hamster Linebacker and I don't see a Grey block for over half my deck. *sigh*

Oh well, time to have some fun and see how Doom performs after more adjustments in game 2.

The Doom deck can be sketchy, but its so fun to watch Keeper after Keeper trigger from destroying one and watching all the little chains of damage that begins from that when it works properly like it did in game 2.

Those were some tight matches Sonic. That Doom deck is so hard to deal with when it starts chaining. Great games!

May 5-May 11

So card heads week 13 rolls around, and we have several missing matches from Week 12. Mr. Puffin Rabbit and Raiding Axe have several missing matches and I find that concerning. PM, me guys.
