That was fun...I thought I had you that last game, but you landed some healers and I was toast. You had some great cards for that 1st game too...yikes that's a scary deck!

That Cross Examination card is nuts.
Wow, maybe that cross examination will be in her card quest. Curious to try it while discarding a dual-factor card.

It is part of her quest, according to Baron Zemo's spoilers. Really excited for it.

Played against an all-Speed deck today. I noticed Mono-factor decks have lots of weaknesses. They're really predictable, easy to exploit, easy to spot, etc.

Was it an all speed level one deck? I was playing that earlier, I never really look at the squad names. :) very weak against most decks, but ever powerful against others haha.

My name is Alex. I'm the owner of Kings Games, a store in Brooklyn NY which will be hosting one of the Sneak Peek events for SuperHero Squad card game.

I got to meet with some of the folks from Upper Deck and Gazillion at the GAMA Trade Show in Las Vegas last month and they showed me the card game. I was immediately impressed with its elegant design and ease of use, and especially impressed with the fact that they're launching a paper card game which already has a huge community who like and play the game online (that would be you, folks).

At Kings Games we're optimistic about this game's chances and would like to support it with demos and tournaments. We currently have the four starter decks available to play with and already taught 30+ people the basic rules of the game. If anyone is in the New York area and is interested in taking a look at the demo decks before the official launch in a couple of weeks, please feel free to stop by our store and just ask.

I'm excited that some of you already plan on attending our Sneak Peek events (hi, Daredeville). We plan on hosting demos throughout the week leading up to the April 21 event. Then we'd like to begin running weekly tournaments once the game is released. In the meantime, if anyone has any questions about the Sneak Peek or our store, I will try my best to answer them in this thread or via e-mail.

Welcome to the Thread, Alex! Thanks for stopping by, that is very awesome of you!

I will most definitely be attending the Pre-Release and would love to meet you there. I should have my brother in tow, and hopefully convince some other friends to come along. I'll be there either way, but according to the blurb on your site, the event will be played with "Sealed Decks." Are these the Intro Decks or are they specially constructed Tournament decks for the pre-release..? Being a new TCG, that's understandable they'd do that to keep it accessible and easily played.

I may try and come by prior to the event if I have some time, but as of right now I'll definitely be there for the pre-release at least.

Again, thanks for stopping by, and I'm looking forward to meeting you at the event!

    - DD

WOW. Yeah, Cross Examination is pretty darn friggin' nuts. Yikes! So that's another unreleased "Card Quest" set confirmed in Foundation along side the Nova one!

Interesting point, Storm...! It could be nasty. And now that you bring that up, Cross Examination is the Mono-/Duel-Deck killer that some players have been looking for!

Also, I should be hopping into the Game within the next hour for all those I need to face in Card League Matches...!

Usually a Sealed tournament is played with booster packs that contain random cards. Usually four packs per player. Each player builds a deck from the pool of cards they open in their packs.

Aye, that's what I've experienced from the one Magic Pre-Release I've attended and what I've read. But they usually call that "Sealed Booster" don't they..? When I played Dark Ascension pre-release, it was 3x Innistrad and 3x Dark Ascension that we opened and built from (approx. 84-90 playable cards received, 40 card decks built (including additional lands)). I could see it being 4-6 packs, just so one can balance their deck a bit. If you only get 4 packs that's 40 cards, and you have to play with whatever you get... It could certainly work with SHSO more than other games though, considering you don't have resources needed to play your cards and whatnot.

As someone who's been playing, I'd prefer Sealed Booster, that way I am getting more advanced cards and greater customization and unique opportunities. Whereas Intro Deck play is optimal and great for beginners, but may be a bit tedious for experienced players.

I don't think the She-Hulk quest will be coming anytime soon though. They recently fully programmed in the Thor, Captain America and Giant-Man quests so those should be the next few, during these Avengers months

(The Nova quest is also fully programmed in, and looks like it has been for awhile, but I'm not sure that'll be released until the Avengers and Spidey months end)

They could upload it with one of their updates though..? Depends on their plans, I suppose...?

If we are back to every other week from here on, we should see Card Quests on:
    April 18th - Avengers
    May 2nd - Avengers
    May 16th - Avengers
    May 30th - Avengers
    June 13th - Spider-Friends
    June 27th - Spider-Friends
    July 11th - Hamburglers
    July 25th - Barney Stinson
    ...

I figure that's how it'll go for the next couple months, give or take... :P

I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility to see She-Hulk added in the near future, it'd just be an update of some kind.

Also, remember we do have Black Widow and Nick Fury's Quests to come. I'm starting to wonder if we will see a whole lot of content arrive leading up to/the week of The Avengers movie release. We've already got Iron Man, Hulk, and (Classic Thor). But it would make sense to see Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, and Nick Fury all in the month/week lead-up/aftermath.

And if we are seeing movie Heroes of Thor, Cap, Iron Man, Nick Fury, Hawkeye (and hopefully Black Widow)... that's a lot to fill up just the end of April/May... I wouldn't be surprised to see a whole bunch of heroes and Card Quests show up all at once in time for the movie.

uh oh...! Is this the week...?!

I haven't played you in months, I don't think I'll even recognize you! Haha... I would take you on right now, but prolly gonna pass out. (after I get the update posted).

Let me know when's good for you, Koala. The only times I definitely can't play are Monday evening (3 pm - 8 pm) and Thursday night (6 pm - 11 pm). PM me with what's best. Oh yeah, and Sunday night got family dinner in the evening, then GAME of THRONES & The Killing to watch, and those two require my full attention, so no Sunday night.

Late Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, late-late Thursday, and Friday are all good for me. Tomorrow... I gotta fix up some decks, but it is a possibility.

Also, still have to play with Señor Silver Torch... just can't seem to meet up with him online!

EDIT: Nevermind, I'll post the update tomorrow when I get up... too sleepy to finish up. G'night everybody.
