no new preview art what a waste.
Point One - horrible name but not a bad idea, poorly executed and overpriced.
Nothing in that issue got me excited for anything. Does anyone else feel that an creatvie ntalent left in Marvel is been stiffled by editorial interference and and dumbed down for the remaning masses marketing policies.
Alonso: Yes, the Immortal Weapons will play a role in “Defenders” #6, to be drawn by a special guest artist we can’t tell you about just yet.

Point One almost geeked me out..
I'm starting to get interested by Mc Guiness' art, and his redisign of NOVA works for me, I have great expectations for the Lapham and De La Torre' serie (the art rules, right ? This guy really deserves to be onto more spotlighted characters), I'm sure BMB and Hitch won't disappoint and I'm still curious at Fraction' take-on of the DEFENDERS, he's a very decent writer when he goes trippy . Not especially thrilled by SCARLET SPIDER' art and disappointed there will be no place in 2012 for CLOAK AND DAGGER and DEADLY HANDS OF KUNG-FU..
Kiel, I'll wait for a promoting-pause to post AGAIN my question onto the FOREVER line of titles, don't think you'll be safe that way..

I really enjoyed the point one issue, and thought it was definitely worth the money. The Scarlet Spider story was good enough that I read it to my wife and unborn baby (trying to break him in early :D). The Nova story was interesting, as was the Strange tale. The Bendis/Hitch team up looked epic, and made me sad that this wasn't something I could go out and pic up right away. That is a trade that will be sitting on the shelf for sure. All I can say is: Keep up the good work!
I feel like I have to lower my standards to enjoy most Marvel books nowadays. At least the art in Point One was good, but everything else failed to make me interested in any of the new series.
Top 3: Batman, Wonder Woman, X-force
im really sick of this
i miss cup of joes
I NEED FREAKING PREVIEWS OF INTERIOR ART NOW!

Oh well. I was kinda thinking AoA, being in a seperate universe and all, would be a nice insular title I could get into when the trade comes around but Axel seemed desperate to emphasis how this title could affect or be affected by the larger marvel universe at any time...instant turn off.
Letting your titles stand on their own, have their own chosen status quo and thus allow them to commit to a story the creator wants to explore, without shoehorning everything else in, does not make it a dismissable title, which seems to be the horrible fear here. That any title that does not tie into the next event or does not reflect some kind of overhanging ruleset from the last one, is an inherently uninteresting book. /apologyforrant. I just keep looking for a few marvel titles to get into and feel like I'm banging my head off a wall.
Reading this week: The Unwritten: On to Genesis, Hellblazer: Scab, Mountaingirl collection
Why do I get the bad feeling Marvel is going to utterly **** up the Phoenix stories by having it infuse Captain America or someone like that who will by force of his will somehow overcome it or something hokey like that.
Well, they cannot say anything about Nova. They basically said the Nova we see is what we are going to get. But they would not comment on Richard Rider. I have no problem with the young Nova Corpsman we saw. I thought the story was interesting, for what we saw. I enjoyed the little bit we saw. I still want to see Richard Rider.
And he said Loeb has a specific vision for what Nova should be. (Oh oh)! I just hope this does not mean there will be no Richard Rider - our Richard Rider.
I will not try and guess what is coming. I want to see what is coming, right now.
