I'm excited about this. I'm still annoyed that Julia was pulled from the Avengers world, where she was occasionally a main character, to be a supporting character for Spider-Man, so I'd at least hope they'll do stuff with her after they forced the change. I love Slott's writing, but just have so little interest in Spider-Man; a story about Julia would get me to buy the book, though. It's fun to write this new Madame Web because she can always drop a hint -- and she's not the original Madame Web, who really seemed to know and see all. Julia is still finding her way in all of this and is still screwing up. It's tough to be an oracle. Right now she's been very mysterious because we've just focused on this part of her life. What will be fun, though, is to go, "Hey. She has a daughter, a life, and these other things going on." So the next time we see her we'll get more into that.
Spider-Girl had her powers in Fear Itself Homefront.....explain that to me Mr Slott?
also now that the spell has been negated, if his identity is revealed. will people remember everything, his unmasking during civil war? or is this a new clean slate?

Well, the No Prize answer is that she temporarily gained them due to some freak, off panel occurrence, and then lost them again.
The real reason? Someone must a' goofed up. Coordinating ALL these books with ALL these different creators is a tough gig! Mistakes will happen. Fortunately, online fans are the forgiving types, right? ;-)

what i mean is, if hes unmasked will people remember all that happened before. like when he unmasked for the FF they remembered everything.
I forgive you Dan. Spider Island made me feel like a kid again. it was good ole fashioned Spidey fun to the nth degree. back when i was a youngin i couldnt even make it home without reading my Spidey. up until Bigtime i would wait a day or so to read my books. now i cant even get out of the parking lot of the store without reading my Spidey.
thanks for making Spidey fun again and making me feel like a kid all over again

Love to keep readers on their toes, don't ya?There are so many people who want them (Peter and MJ) back together and so many people that don't. It's fun to see them all go, "Augghh!"![]()
The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

You can't admit mistakes online! You have to call them names and insult the reader's intelligence! You'll never make it in this business, Mr. Slott.
also, OMG so excited for the Doc Ock/Sinister Six story, I get hype every time I read some new information about it
The Spider Girl error is nothing compared to the mistake I made in 674.

Great, now I have to buy the issue to find out what grave error is there! You win this time, Wacker!
I read this earlier in the day and I remember thinking... Slott is right. The creative team was awesome! I've never been a fan of every member of a team before, but from the writer to the letterer, I've only good things to say about them.
The only person I questioned was Ramos (one of my first comics was Civil War: Wolverine, and his style was a bit too jarry for me as a young, new reader), but his work on Spider-Island ruled! Not to mention the work ethic Slott depicted has given him uber brownie points. I love people like that!
I really enjoy these commenty features and I hope CBR keep them up! Slott and Waker are witty and entertaining. Brev and Alonso on the other hand... yeah them I could do without. :x
Dude, I know just what you mean! I read 673 in my car in the parking lot of my LCS. I haven't done that since the final part of One More Day. And before that, since I can't remember. It's a cool feeling having that kind of "kid on Christmas" excitement over a comic!
