favorite all-time was Avengers Forever. Great series, as someone who was just passingly interested in The Avengers over the years (mainly for certain characters I liked) this story was great and fun and kinda crazy, and very epic.
Bring back my DC! In the meantime, make mine Marvel and Image!

You know what's funny? I've never read Avengers #200! But the cover is great, it represents my favorite Avengers era.

There's a bunch of worthy candidates, most already mentioned by others.
But my all time favourite personally is probably Avengers #82 By Thomas/Buscema/Palmer with a fabulous Marie Severin/Tom Palmer cover:

Pretty much a "done in one" it's also the culmination of a bunch of sub-plots and stories from previous issues.
To me, as a child reading it, it was the closest thing to the Avengers Movie today; a big, sprawling, fast moving story full of action and heroism, with gorgeous art.
This period had Thomas/Buscema/Palmer all at the peak of their abilities, and Marvel was bursting with ideas and stories, but not yet bogged down by too sprawling a cast or to convoluted a continuity.
The cover is a particular favourite, with perhaps only Avengers 28 "Among us walks a Goliath" getting close.

Good, classic picks. Actually there are quite a few done in one, or twoparters during Thomas run that deserve to be on this list.

Yeah i actually toiled with whether it should be my #1.

I would probably say Korvac Saga and Red Zone would be interchangeable as my top two.
