I may not have read the Sunday Funnies looking for Family Circus, but when I came across it, it never failed to put a smile on my face.

Should be edited to read: "Thel Keane preceded her husband in passing in 2008".

Who didn't love those dotted-line paths following Billy around the neighbourhood?

Living here in Arizona, Mr. Keane has been one of our state treasures. I have some original art of his I won in a charity auction quite a few years ago. Its had a hallowed spot among all my animation art and it will continue to stay there for decades to come.

    RIP Bil Keane....

It only seems right his son picks up the strip and carries it forward.

I agree with the article..but I really hope this strip doesn't continue...I couldn't relate to it as I grew older. It seemed more and more irrelevant..

    Default Rip

I wrote Mr. Keane a letter when I was 8, and he was nice enough to reply and send me an original drawing. I practically learned to read on my mom's FC collections, and probably got into a lifelong love of comics in part because of Keane.

It became something of a hipster fad to rip on Family Circus for its warmth, but it always had a place in my heart.
