Like Most of the new DC designs I don't find the new Steel design appealing
i assume is a prototype hopefully he gets something better later on.
Looks pretty similar to the suit John Corbin was wearing in Action #3, so I'm sure he'll get a better suit later.
Lovely art. Can't wait to see the finished product next month!
Between this, Shazam in JL, and more to come, DC looks to be giving back-up features another shot with the new 52. Marvel seems to be doing the same with Annihilators and Avengers Solo. I'm all for it; with main features being only 20 pages, it wouldn't hurt to have more bang for your book.![]()

I would hope the co-feature program stays on the more popular books. A big mistake DC made last time around was putting them in second-tier and in some cases brand new titles that were already struggling to gain a foot hold. Some titles have a hard enough time getting readers without slapping an extra dollar on the price.
please tell me Steel isn't a Cyborg now

"No weapon formed against them could prosper."
I thought for a second it was a Doctor Who cross over. Looks like a Cyberman to me. Please don't make him another cyborg there's already one too many.
Even for a prototype this is a fugly costume. It looks less like a suit of armor and more like his arms and legs are made of steel cables.
Ya I'm sure that's a prototype, Steel is to awesome to get stuck with that hellatious piece of crap. What I like the most of all this is the back up story. I have always loved the back up story, the one shot the hollidaze special and the annual. They rock.
