The numbers for Justice League #1 are a bit misleading. For whatever reason, they only include the later reprintings and not the first printing from August. Including the August numbers, the total for JL #1 would be 233,587, and the number for Justice League #2 would represent a change of -52,878, or -22.64%.
Which leads to another small point. All of the figures for the previous issues sales include second and later printings (most of them appearing later in October's charts). That includes of DC's 52 new series, plus several others. That means the decline we see in sales for DC's books in particular show less of a change from their initial orders than the percentage decline here would indicate. In other words, that appears to justify DC's remarks that orders for second issues roughly match those of first issues, provided we're only talking about the first printings.

Well that definitely helps to put things in perspective. Marvel had a pretty light month for publishing. That's not surprising considering they've drastically reduced their mini-series count.
I mean DC, would've still beat them by a margin, but they've cut back. I wouldn't be surprised if that number drops a bit over the next few months.

Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!
Great for dc but if i may offer one criticism of the new 52....why is all the same old stuff selling? What a shock every one bought More Superman than Hawk and Dove what a sock Batman is out selling Grifter. This New 52 is about the new why isn't anyone buying the new.
