interesting although this only matters if digital is cheap with itunes prices of .99 or like 1.29 being optimal pricing. 2 dollars at most though.
Brilliant, about time
Edit March? Boo!
'Day and Date Digital' sounds awkward. It should maybe be 'Same Day Digital'.

IDW: TMNT, MTMTE, G.I. Joe
Dynamite: Pathfinder
Red 5: Atomic Robo
Marvel: Thor: GoT, JIM, Powers, Scarlet Spider
Marvel: Defenders, Secret Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man, Uncanny X-Men, Uncanny X-Force, & Wolverine & The X-Men
DC: Action Comics, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batman, Flash
Unless it's .99 or maybe $1.29 I will not start buying comics again.
For legal purposes, "Licensed" material shall refer to any and all Marvel comics that have themselves been licensed out or are under consideration to be licensed.
So get ready for new series staring Lunatik and Slapstick!!!!
I honestly do not understand this mentality. There is no reason why it should be substantially cheaper to go digital compared to print. There are both costs involved in both. In fact, I'd be shocked if it was not MORE expensive to be digital compared to print. Scanning and formatting/testing each issue, server requirements, etc. all cost money that aren't there in print. Marvel gets a good discount on printing based off of the volume they put out. It's not a situation where digital is "obviously" a better offering like people are making it out to be.
I work in Web Development. So yes, I would actually rather see more things go online. I just don't think some fans are being realistic in their expectations here.
As for Marvel finally making the move, it's about time. Hope they match DC's pricing.
They probably see how much money DC made with the new 52. I've moved from trades to iPad and I'm not buying nearly as much Marvel as I did before. I'll be back with them once I can buy their stuff online.
You're right. It SHOULD be "same-day digital". I've been saying this for years. Don't know why the publishers don't use that terminology. Guess it makes too much sense.
If you pay 3.99 for a digital 20 pages, you are a true sucker.
Reduction in cost, some of it should be passed on to the consumer, or they will continue to NOT INVEST in your comics.
And believe me people, reading Marvel comics is like any hobby, you need to invest time and effort to get the full enjoyment.
Because there are lot of things people can do with their free time.

print always has more cost then digital that is why everyone cuts cost by switching from physical copies to digital copies this should be obvious. if digital cost more there would be no point in switching or even having it. digital has much less labor and materials sure both have distribution but servers are cheaper then shipping.

So it took only three months this time to follow in DC's footsteps?
'The marquis. Well, you know, to be honest, he seems a little bit dodgy to me.'
'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."
