    Sausage fest! Brilliant!

Cracking article. If I'd known about this event, I would have gone for sure, so I'm not too happy. Grr...

An audience member asked the team why they thought "Commando" had survived so long: "Because it's brilliant!" Laird joked. "I think the fact that they're complete, self-contained stories has quite a lot to do with that. The anthology model definitely died a death. We continued quietly, in our own way, with strong storylines throughout. It's a unique product [with] the size, the digest size. It's so many different things. But we'd like to think it's because we're brilliant."

Does this mean those recent Commando collections and books bombed? Or is this something else before my time?

If it's the recent collections, then I'm sorry to read that.

Also when is the next comic book event in Scotland?

Cam Kennedy was amazingly funny. I thought his talk was the highlight of the event.

Quitely was great, too. I managed to have a long chat with him after the signing, he's a really nice guy.

Commando survives and the monster collections sold well I understand.

Depends where you are. There's frequent marts in Glasgow.
