I would venture to say this is the surprise breakout hit of the 52.

I agree. I remember seeing the cover art for #1 and getting those dreaded Twilight vibes from it. I couldn't have been more wrong. GREAT comic.

It's definitely one of the break out hits of the new 52.

OMAC and Animal Man are among the others I think.

    Overruled! :P

Voodoo and OMAC were known properities by known creators. This book, and its competence and eerie artwork, completely came out of left field. IMO

This book really just is great.

One of the most wonderfully crafted books of the entire launch, I think, along with Animal Man. Art can be a little lax on storytelling, but it's gorgeous, and Fialkov's writing and pacing is superb and intelligent.

DC needs to sign him immediately. He's going to be HUGE.

Great book - I didn't pick it up in September, but for some reason I couldn't stay away in October and bought both issues. Very good stuff.
Anyone who thinks DC is bringing back the Silver Age doesn't know what the Silver Age is.

There is no such word as "persay," it's per se, two words, from the Latin.

Put me down with those who were not expecting this to be so amazing. Easily one of if not the biggest break out of the 52. I've already sought out some of Fialkov's indie work because of it.
