DCU: New Dawn (the beginning)

DCU: NEW DAWN

This is our own version, of the Marvel board's version, Age of Marvels.

Boiled down to basics, treat this as though DC quit with their current universe, and this is our rebooted version, a very different version of the people and places that make DC great. Each month titles will be solicited, and people pick and choose which titles interest them and place them on their 'pull list', just like you would at the comic store. Pick the titles that interest you, the only rule being you can't pick all titles. The title(s) with the least amount of readers will be up for cancellation (which may result in a reboot or replacement, as determined by a vote by the EIC and the plotters, and editors if we get enough titles going to warrant such). This will be an ongoing monthly activity. If during any month a plotter fails to obtain plot submissions for one of their titles that title will also be up for cancellation, or may be offered up to another plotter. If a plotter has two or more books cancelled they will be at risked to be "fired" and replaced by a new plotter or their title may be put up as an open-submission plotting series.

Solicitations for each month will be do by the last day of each month for the next month.

EXCEPTIONS--Since we are just starting, there are a couple of exceptions to the rules stated above. First, Solicitations for the first month will be do at the end of the first week in November, so we can get titles up and running, with December's solicitations due at the end of November. Also, in the beginning, titles will not be up for reboot/cancellation in the first month, but instead all titles will have three months to build up a readership, and then will be judged based upon the totals of the three month period.

Yep, kinda. Go check out Age of Marvels in the main Marvel thread for a better grasp, if you like. Their version has been up and running for a year now...

I have truckload of great series ideas and I'm good at creating solicitations. Two questions:

Do you have a list or know the Marvel exclusive writers and artists? Per the rules and for a degree of realism I don't want to use Marvel writers/artists that are not possible due to contract.

Is it okay if we create series that would fit into the current DCnu or does it have to be as if post Flashpoint DCU doesn't exist?

Trying to find an Exclusives list for Marvel is tough, I haven't been able to nail one down yet...

Also, we are a new DC world. Think of us like one of the yet unexplored worlds of the 52. We are making our history up as we go along...
