What happened to Normans "Corpse"?

In the last panel of USM #160 we saw Norman smiling in the flames so it makes me wonder if he died or not, since this hasn't been discussed for awhile i thought i should bring it up and see what theories people come up with

I know why he smiled but that smile still makes me wonder what happened to him but if he is dead his corpse is probably S.H.I.E.L.D.

I expect he's alive. The big bad always comes back. In next months solicites it says 'What new and familiar enemies will rise to challenge this all-new Spiderman' in issue #4 of UCSM. Perhaps Norman will be revealed to be alive at the end/during the issue. Just a guess. Ten points if I'm right.

I think the combined facts that he was last seen and fire and was just minutes before shown to be able to absorb fire make for a suspicious death.

Even if he is dead, I doubt he'll stay that way forever. After all, this is the same guy who came back from a bullet in the head. Besides, just like how Peter was tied to Osborn due to it being his fault he got spider powers, it's the same with Miles. So long as the entity he created lives, Osborn will keep coming back for more.
