**Ant-Man**
p.s. adding Fury to this part of the marvel universe was brilliant.

"Join us tomorrow for our final installment of DEFENSIVE MEASURES where Fraction joins us for a look at the Namor, the Sub-Mariner and the Astonishing Ant-Man."
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! best for last! very excited to see fury in this also.
I wonder if Fraction actually is going to include this in his script.'You guys are freaks. You know that right? You're weirdoes. You're a team of super powered gonzos.'
You are an apocalypse dreaming of butterflies
and
we are a patchwork of miracles.
i could totally see that coming out of Fury's mouth. he really must just look at all these capes as weirdoes. he's lived a long friggin time but never put on a costume. i hadn't realized it until that group shot but i've always kind of wanted to see Nick Fury and Doc Strange interact. just imagine them having a conversation about the Illuminati.
I would love for him to say that, and they all pull this face. And yeah, I think that would definitely be an interesting conversation between the two, they're like the seasoned, veteran heroes it would be nice to see them interact more. Andw ith Defenders, they probably will.

I wonder what role Ant Man will play in this.
I'm going to guess that he is gonna be this version of the team's answer to Nighthawk: the guy who needs the team so he can have a purpose.
Don't see where he (and Betty for that matter) fit in this roster of experts otherwise.
I will say am REALLY looking forward to this book.
I understand Nick being restless, but lonely? Is he saying contessa played him for a fool again? He just broke her out of prison or about to at the end of Hickman's run.
BAD TOUCHSCREEN TYPER

well they are all supposed to be experts in their fields. maybe the Defenders have a mission that, for some reason, involves lying convincingly or having a one-night stand with a drunk girl.

Hmmm... weird that Fraction is sort of saying Fury was nothing to do. You'd think with Hammer popping up again, it would give him plenty.
That aside, Fury being a part of an actual super hero team is kinda interesting.
Can't wait to see how Fraction write silver surfer, love it when the SS has a active role in the marvel U.

which antman? Because only Pym can be called in expert or a specialist in anything amongst them. the other two really don't have noteworthy skills.
still diversity wise this team is exactly what i expect from fraction, i mean really only one female. although cosmic has always been sucky diversity wise.
It's funny that Fraction forgets to mention the recent "The Deep" mini-series tie in to his Fear Itself event...you know the one that had some of the original Defenders reunting with newer memebers.![]()
that's a complete untruth. Scott Lang was an electrical engineering genius. it's why Stark recruited him straight out of prison. it's why he gave him his own lab at Stark International; the design division. it's why Scott was called in to install the security at Avengers mansion and finish up Stark's job on the encephalo helmet that they used to check Pym for mind-tampering. it's also why he was recommended to the Fantastic Four to repair Reed's time sled. and it's how he reprogrammed the subterranean Monstroid to be obedient in a couple minutes. i'd say that his skills are quite "noteworthy."
