IDW Publishing and Topps have announced a new "Mars Attacks" comic series based on the classic trading cards along with reprints of vintage Mars Attacks material throughout 2012.

Another check why IDW is awesome. I remember the tops comic and the moment I saw the title to article I thought of Image Crossover event with Mars Attacks.

I discovered the Topps comics a few months ago and have read most of them by now. I wished Dwight Jon Zimmerman would be attached to this project, though a fresh approach is probably best.

Have most of the Topps comics. The opening series written by Kieth Giffen and Charles Adlard was just this side of perfect. Can't wait to see what's in store. I wonder if the sister card series, Dinosaurs Attack !, will be getting some love ?
