That's a very good point. I'd really forgotten about all that monkey stuff... Man, this just gets more and more interesting!
UPDATE: Here's what the Hellboy Wiki has to say on the subject of the Noh Monkey.

Whether or not Ben is destroyed, there's still the question of both the monkey and Daimio's grandmother. She hasn't been seen since The Black Flame, where she gave Liz the lotus that caused her to pass out (if that was Mrs. Daimio at all!).
Strangebeard: It's not the size of the pirate in the fight, but the size of the fight in the pirate.
Final part comes out in just a few days, and this whole Noh Monkey conversation has me wondering if it'll be touched on at all. I hope so. That thing was so damn creepy.
BPRD Centerblog has a whole article on it (in French though).
I'd forgotten all about that!
How could she have known Liz was a threat though? Who sent her and why not just shoot her if removing her was the intent?
I think maybe the old lady was sent by Gilfried (sp?) and the flower was a mind-expanding sorta thing so Liz could have ver visions with ol' snakeboy.
I think the asian woman in the Burning Hand mini- the one escorting the Black Flame- is Ben's Grandmother.
Tension, Apprehension, and Dissension have begun.
I posted the following in the Burning Hand thread too (from Wikipedia):
So I think you are probably right.Kamala is a common Hindu name, usually meaning Nelumbo nucifera, the lotus.
Recent Nature Sightings:
Sept 24: Two Orcas close to shore.
Nov 14: Trumpeter Swans, Bald Eagles catching salmon (and a duck!), Harbour Seals, Steller Sea Lions, Kingfisher.
Picked up the last issue this morning at my LCS.
Ending wasn't what I was expecting. In fact, I was bit confused, as this I figured something different would happen. Won't say more then that to avoid spoilers.
Nope, that's a wrap. And holy crap, that was one beautiful issue complete with an amazing slugfest!
And now we await the aftermath.
"Okay, I know I said I wasn't going to shake things up, but we're going to have to get some pants on this one."
I'm not happy with that outcome. I saw it coming but I didn't want to accept it![]()
I don't want to give anything away, but yeah... Not sure how I feel. I thought there'd be "more" to it, but I don't want to say just what that is yet.
Here's a nifty little spoiler free write up on the issue -
