His first year on X-Men was some of the best of the recent stuff. It is ashame he was never allowed to shine in flagship/team book.

SO LONG CAREY!
I was a fan of yours up until Rogueneto. After that I was hoping that Rogue or Magneto would die in an event so that I would never see them again. I think it's safe to say after reading this X Position that Gambit fans are the worst thing going around this place. Disgusting but it was good to hear Carey's thoughts and choices on all matters. One of the only X-writers that had a strong sense of continuity behind the voices of those in his charge.

Prof Carey gave the x-verse some well-needed erudition, and was always a Chateau Petrus Pomerol amongst the Franzia box wine...
I hope the Rogue fringe element <see posts above> doesn't add a layer of discontent to what has most definitely been a sterling run.

Thanks for answering my question, I am also thankful for your decision to return the X-Men in space and reunite Lorna with her father regardless of if her origins story doesn't get told. I really liked the way you helped to bring back Magneto into the X-Men fold and I did like the Rogue/Magneto relationship. Then again it might have been easier for me then other fans as I didn't get attached to Rogue/Gambit forever like alot of x-fans did my age in the 90s.
If ever you have the desire to come back to Marvel and if I am still reading comics then I will be sure to give your work a try.
