Well, it looks like Juliette is going to be in the loop now. I kind of hope that, seeing as Juliette is a vet and has been seen digging into the nature of wesen before (the "bigfoot" episode), that maybe she could use her expertise to help Rosalee with wesen that need medical attention. Near as I can tell, most wesen who have strictly wesen-type ailments tend to self-diagnose then run to an antiquated herb shop with some rather antiquated books for medicinal help. Their community could use some kind of doctor who specializes in helping their kind.

    Last night was fun.

Bud, Monroe and Rosalee are the best part of the show consistantly and they may have just done the impossible: made Julliet interesting. They did a fantastic jog letting the cat out of the bag in a controlled manner.

glad they remembered that adeline is still a lawyer and how they had to resort to bizarre trickery to do so.

They setup a zombie plot and Renard's broth is about to make things interesting.

The reveal was as bland as the reveal to his partner, and Renard's reveal to Nick. The show really doesn't seem to know how to handle reveals in an interesting way, so I don't understand why it keeps trying. Either hire writers who can make reveals interesting, or stop making reveals a big part of the show.

I don't see anything wrong with how they handled the reveals. In fact, I give the writers credit for doing something different with each of the characters. Hank had PTSD that lasted several episodes after he saw his first wessen. Nick learning about Renard hasn't really affected him on an emotional level but he clearly has trust issues with his captain. Juliette had a minor freak out and has decided to roll with it and that's primarily because she was eased into it by friends.

As for the ep, not bad. I was kinda bored by the royals and some of the zombie plots. The real drawback was Bud. I knew his character and species is known to be somewhat timid but his jitteriness was over the top this episode. I did like the voodoo guy (makes me want to get a top hat) and a more traditional take on the zombie mythos.

The reveal to Juliette seemed rushed, which took a lot of possible drama or oomph out of it. However, they pretty much ran out of time so they had to get it in there as quick as possible.

I did not see it coming that the voodoo guy was working with Eric. I assume all those "zombies" he is controlling and collecting couldn't all be Wessen. I assume they will want to unleash them on Nick and/or Renard but it seems like it would have been better to have your "army" be all Wessen because they can be more dangerous.

I can't remember for sure, but didn't Frau Pech take Adalind to meet the gypsys? Yet she seemed surprised that Adalind was working with them for her baby?

Eh, I'm guessing the guy has to work with whatever the supply is. Probably not worth the time to track down Wessen and some aren't any more dangerous than humans. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if wessen made up at least 20% of Portland's population.

Yeah I like it when Bud isn't panicking all the time, but this isn't Monroe's first dance and Rosalees always been the level headed one.

It's his first time revealing to an outsider and I get his nervousness.

Cool episode, and I'm glad it's continuing next week, didn't want this wrapped up too quickly.

That was supposed to be Baron Samedi, right? They even called him a "baron" at the end.

I expected it to happen a lot sooner, honestly. But I think the previews were Rosalee voged took away some of the oomph for me.
