    Default Grimm

    David Giuntoli ... Nick Burckhardt
    Russell Hornsby ... Hank Griffin
    Bitsie Tulloch ... Juliette Silverton
Silas Weir Mitchell ... Eddie Monroe
    Sasha Roiz ... Capt. Renard
    Reggie Lee ... Sgt. Wu
    Claire Coffee ... Adalind Schade

Watching the pilot now. I gotta say I love this trend of letting people see the pilot before it airs on tv. The first time I ever did that was Community two years ago. Then this year I got to see The New Girl, Hart Of Dixie, Suburgatory and Once Upon A Time all before they aired.

Silas Weir Mitchell is what drew me to this show. I loved him in Fox's Prison Break Season 1 and 2.

As for what I have seen of the pilot so far. Hottest Red Riding Hood Ever

Kind of Dylan Dog Dead Of Night. The main guy even slightly resembles Routh. He's a supernatural investigator. He's a cop who suddenly finds out that he can see extra worldly creatures. The first one is referred to as a Bludbotten(Sp) Big Bad Wolf. Silas is one of those but he is reformed and knows more about David Giuntoli's Nick Burkhardt than Nick does. So it looks like he will be mentoring him in the ways of a Grimm basicly a slayer of evil things. spoilers:
There is already some sort of over arching bad shown at the end of the first episode.
    end of spoilers

He does bare an uncanny resemblance. I've seen some of the things the guy has been in before this. But nothing to make him stick out in my mind.

I just watched the pilot. Despite a couple of minor issues I had with it, I thought it was a strong opener for the series. I'd definitely recommend it to anybody who hasn't already decided to check it out.

The show gave me a Supernatural vibe. The earlier seasons before the Angels showed up of course

Well, I thought that was a promising start. A bit too pat of a resolution for the main episode plot, but it had a good pace, we got enough of the world-building to understand the basics, and I thought there was some good dialogue and bantering especially between Nick and his partner and Nick and the on-the-wagon wolf.

    I'll watch next week's.

It was okay. A harmless piece of diverting entertainment. But I don't expect it to last long. It's got pretty much everything (not related to the actual quality of the show) working against it.

I also found it kind of funny that, prior to it's debut, people were all worked up about how it was a rip on Fables. Well, it turns out, it's actually a rip on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but with Big Bad Wolves instead of Vampires.

It's a mix of Buffy/Supernatural/SU2/Dylan Dog with the lead actor looking like Brandon Routh.
