Personally I find resets/going back to square 1 are problematic because it feels like nothing is actually accomplished. Likewise, if the show waits too long to resolve a problem people tend to stop caring. Personally I think there is still a lot of ways they can take the show after people remember, especially if the curse breaking leaves them in Storybrooke.

I just hope this show does not end up like Lost or Heroes. They ran out of good stories and just got really bad after the first season.

That final most definitely didn't disappoint!

Some jumbled thoughts in spoilers, I need to see this again and let it sink in.

    spoilers:
I expected something a lot more low-key leading into some sort of status-quo change for the second season, but this was anything but low-key. Emma slaying dragon Malificent in the real world was several miles beyond where I expected them to go with the final.

I liked seeing Belle and Jefferson back in the mix, seems like they might be featuring more prominently next season. With magic coming into the land, the hat, and with it other realms, might come into play.

The clock coming full circle was a nice touch.

Doctor Whale seemed quite shocked when the curse lifted, I hoped to find out why, but alas... It would be rather odd if he turns out to be the whale from Pinocchio's story. And of course, there's Pinocchio! Will he live, and if so, will he be a wooden man next season?

Will Red be out of control without her cloak?

    So many questions
    end of spoilers

They pretty much made season 2 must-watch for me.

Bae is not going to be happy with his Papa.

That was an impressively packed finale, and I like the parallels between Snow/Henry and Charming/Emma. Emma is a lot like her papa and hopefully we will see an Emma/Charming relationship develop next season the way we did with Emma and Mary Margaret this season.

I am impressed with how they held the course on Rumple as well.

I think that they delivered on the hoopla that the finale was a game changer and that it's going to be interesting to see what happens next season.

A homage to her. The janitor was an homage to Chief from One Flew over the Cuckoo's nest as well.

Maybe he is Baefire or he could be Henry's father. Wonder if Grimm is coming back?

Snow and co. are such badasses. I never get tired of references to Stealthy

Disagree about Lost, but...here's hoping Henry doesn't pull a Walt!

Well in past posts I definitely called the general direction for season 2.

Am I the only one that thought it a bit self-centered that Charming & Snow didn't seem to give a thought or a wit as to where their daughter Emma was or their grandson who was dying in the hospital when their memories returned? Sorry, but any parent will tell you that the welfare of their child is the first thing that comes to mind, the writers made C & S look somewhat like uncaring parents, IMO.
    Pull list:
Adventure Time, Batgirl, Batman & Robin, BOP, Earth 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, He-Man, Katana, Nightwing, Shadowman, Swamp Thing, The Ultimates, Ultimate Spider-Man, Worlds' Finest

Yup, it has been officially renewed as well. Grimm's finale is on Friday.

I didn't have a real problem with it, for a couple of reasons:
    1. They put baby Emma in the magical tree and sent her off to who-knows-where, and they haven't seen her (or, honestly, thought about her) in 28 years. They spent three decades believing they were entirely different people, a mild-mannered school teacher and a guy who was in a coma for a period of time, and all of a sudden, they got this unbelievable rush of memories about their former existence as fairy tale characters. It is going to be overwhelming and hard to process, and their first thoughts might not go to a child they haven't been around in 30 years, but rather trying to make sense of everything; look at Jefferson, who was driven quite insane by the knowledge that there were two worlds that he was a part of, and you can see why they may be wandering around a bit dazed.
    2. They don't know Henry is their grandson, so I will give them a pass completely on that one.
"I don't hate everybody. I think I'm better than everybody. It's completely different."

I still think it'sa bit early in the game to play this card, but it appears the hand has been dealt. Like Henry and Emma, I was expecting everyone to snap back to where they came from once the curse was lifted. If they'd just kept everyone in Storybrooke with their old memories and the modern day status quo, that would have been an interesting twist. Not sure I like the idea of introducing magic into the "real" world, but I'll reserve judgement until I see where it's heading.

My concern is that now that the show has clearly gone into a more fantasy fiction based direction, which I applaud as a sci-fi/fantasy fiction fan, will the primarily female audience who watched for the soap opera driven female empowerement princess fantasies & Desparate Housewives b****iness leave in droves now that the perceived "stink" of sci-fi is encroaching more firmly onto the format?
