    I THOUGHT that the visual style was indebted to Samurai Champloo but didn't put together that was deliberate. Silly me.

    Looking forward to this, though I'm sure I won't be able to convince any of my roommates to get cable just for this. :)

    It's so cool to hear Takeshi Koike had an influence on the Black Dynamite cartoon! That explains why the first episode looked so awesome.

    Takeshi Koike has been a busy guy since animating the opening for Samurai Champloo. He actually just had a full-length motion picture come out in Japan called REDLINE. It's sick. You can check out a trailer here:

    The movie will be coming out on DVD/BD in North America early next year. Check it out if you love that style of animation! It definitely won't disappoint.

    I was really surprised by how much fun the film was so i look forward to this and the movie sequel.
