That Lobster cover is just incredible. I'd display that in my office in a heartbeat if I had it!

...it just hit me why that variant cover for the BPRD Hell on Earth-The Long Death 1 (Johann) seemed so familiar.
well played, Mike. well played.![]()

I find it curious that final titles don't include the story title, Dark Horse logos, issue numbers or barcodes. It's nice though. Doesn't clutter the image.
I smell calendar.
Chillingly good stuff besides Mignola, Slint, M, Knut and really big chunks of tinfoil?Been called a 'good egg'. Been told to rock, been told to steady myself. Been told to (please) be goin' places.
Half sunk in the mud, with one eye showing / a cracked smile and hair still growing /
your hands miles apart, as if they'd never met / you were the happiest I'd seen you yet. ~ (full) lyrics to 'Exhume' by Bedhead.
OK, so far we're got:
JANUARY Lobster Johnson
FEBRUARY Johann Kraus
MARCH The B.P.R.D.
APRIL Lobster Johnson
MAY Hellboy and Professor O'Donnell
JUNE Lord Henry Baltimore
...
DECEMBER Hellboy
There're still so many characters I'd like to see on these covers, I don't think there's enough room for them all... There's bound to be another Hellboy cover. Hopefully there's space for all the key BPRD crew (Abe, Daimio, Panya, Liz, Daryl, Devon, Kate, Roger) and Sir Edward Grey. It'd be nice if Alice made an appearance too.

We still haven't seen the Baltimore cover, though, have we?

I'm pretty sure every cover Mike Mignola does for single issues will be a part of the Year of Monsters covers except for his Hellboy covers.
