In 2012, Mike Mignola will be doing 12 variant covers, one every month, featuring a different monster and one of his characters... at least, that's what I think the plan is. Any way, the first one is up and here it is:

Here's yet another vote for this great idea! I'd definitely buy a calendar. As for subject matter, how about:

• Abe & The Creature from the Black Lagoon
• Johann & The Invisible Man
• Panya & The Mummy (maybe too obvious)
• Ben Daimio & some sort of werewolf
• Roger & Frankenstein

Both of the ones we've seen, the character and the monster are not at all related. I like your idea, but it doesn't look like it's happening.

Except that Mignola's trades don't have variants so it's very unlikely they're going to be a part of the "Year of Monsters" covers (which is a collection of 12 variants).
