This actually sounds pretty awesome, I usually don't go for this sort of thing.
Chip Kidd + Batman = Money leaving my pocket.
Hobos frighten me. It's time my enemies shared my dread.
Dave Taylor? That's a name I haven't seen in years.
"'Kirby got a shitty contract too, so get over it' isn't a great tagline."

Sounds cool. I like that (from what we can see) the Batman design kind of resembles his original 1939 appearance, with the ears flaring out a little bit.
I`ll pick this just for the art, looks spectacular just in black n white, please DC, leave it be in B&W !!
"It's all pencil with no ink, so it has a really distinctive look."
And just like that, I lost interestToo bad, because it just starting to sound cool, from a writing perspective.
"This is not a brooding, self-doubting or otherwise mentally unbalanced version of the character...He does not have a problem being this character and is not a tortured soul"
Sold.
I have a copy of "The Cheese Monkeys", his first novel, and I think it was a very good read. I may be biased, since I'm a graphic designer too, and the novel is a bout a guy studying graphic design in the late '50s/early '60s.
In short, yes. His writting is very good :)
I usually don't go for this sort of thing.
