I'm cautiously hopeful that Humphries' X-Force will have an angle other than just indiscriminate killing. The fact that Betsy has questioned killing in Remender's run and Humpries says he's picking up on where Remender leaves Betsy, plus Storm's well established anti-killing stance combined means either that this X-Force will not be so kill-happy, or characters are about to be mangled. I'm holding out for the former.
I don't think the X-Force brand absolutely mandates a body count in the hundreds. After all in the original run you could pretty much count deaths on your fingers despite the presence of kill-happy characters like Cable, Shatterstar and Feral. It was a book about a paramilitary X-team but they still had more idealistic members that reined in the more bloodthirsty ones, making for interesting character conflict. Maybe Humphries will do something like that.
My main concern is whether they're going to actually try to sell Psylocke, the woman who basically ran the X-Men into the ground against the Reavers, as the leader in the presence of Storm, one of the X-Men's greatest leaders ever. It's like Clint Barton or Hank Pym trying to lead in a team that includes Steve Rogers.

Effective immediately the moderators of the Avengers, Marvel Universe and X-Books forums have decided to allow only one Appreciation Thread per character, to reside in the forum to which that character is primarily associated.
Posters may continue to show their Storm love in the X-Books Appreciation Threads sub-forum.
