I'm really enjoying this one. These shorter minis are going great.

I just got to read the first issue (thanks to Orrin Grey) and man I just love the art. I hope we see many more stories drawn by Jason. The characters expressions and the line art is enviable, it reminds me of something but I can't place what. Almost older Jamie Hewlett art.. I'm not sure but I love it.

and as always, the story is great

My god, the two issues of B.P.R.D. Hell on Earth a month sound like they're taking a toll on him. It's interesting to have a long, more in-depth interview. Thanks for that.

Hmmm, kind of a lack luster ending. Maybe I just had my hopes up due to how awesome the Long Death was but this just didn't do it for me.

I have to agree. Maybe with a couple of re-readings it will grow on me, but unless this is setting up for a future arc, the second issue was kind of flat.

I'm going to say this just once. I'm bringing SPOILERS into the conversation. Go no further if you haven't read issue 2.

I'm really disappointed the old Professor had to die. He was a great character. I really wanted him to survive this thing. Oh well.

This story did have an abrupt ending, no doubt, but it didn't feel like a stand-alone story, so I'm OK with that. This felt like a prologue to a much larger story. Although seriously, enough with the teases. Next time we come across vampires, let's kick this thing up into high gear. No short stories quickly diffused in the last few pages (like The Sleeping and the Dead and Pickens).

I enjoyed this one and I really want more.

Still really wish Professor Ethan Thomas had survived. At the very least I wish Vaughn had taken his book with him.

If I read it correctly it seemed to me that the vampire apocalypse was some how averted by the fog.

I didn't get that at all. I felt like the vampires and mushrooms had somehow turned into the fog. Two weird supernatural things that created something new. But yeah, I have a lot of questions after this story.

It did just kind of end, which made me scratch my head a bit. I'll agree with Middenway that it's a set up for something larger, but it was a little unsatisfying because of that. All that build up for, well, nothing (yet).

Latour's art is absolutely amazing, though. Very much in the style of Guy Davis, but distinct enough to stand on its own.

    SPOILERS:

Glad to see Vaughn survive, hope we see some more of him soon! To add my opinion to the discussion it looks like the vampires
plan to store an army of corpses has been hijacked by the mushroom stuff, one of the ogdru hem maybe? Shame the vampire historian didn't survive to make another appearance in the future or to be taken back to the bureau but I suppose his death keeps things mysterious. Hopefully Vaughn wasn't too spooked to go back and see if his notes were intact?

Oh yeah, they certainly seemed to have been transformed but I don't think that was part of the Vampires plan but rather an effect off all the weird shit caused by Hellboy fighting the Dragon.
