Even though I am a huge Spidey fan, I have no real interest in the new movie. But goddamn, I'm excited for this game!

I think it would be good to look forward to the new movie, there is a good vibe coming from it thus far

I've been disappointed by so many Spidey games in recent years that I've already made myself pretty pesmistic about this one;

But I have to admit this game looks impressive and that it could be a lot of fun, both in terms of gameplay.

Not making it a direct adaptation of the movie is smart, it allows the story to be more extensive and intricate. Also what dialogue I've heard so far is amazing.

"What would you like or tombstone to read; Spider-Man... or Peter Parker?"

How freaking awesome is that line?

Didn't play Edge of time. I'm hoping the suit can get damaged during battles and then be fixed, I'd hate for it to be like Arkham City how by the end, your suit is pretty much ruined and you can't fix it.

Beenox confirmed damage to the suit will occur, I think they said something about fixing the costume in Peter's apartment, maybe change it

Here's some tidbits on the game

-You might want to wait to play the game after seeing the movie. While the game does take place after the film, it reveals some key parts of the films finale.
-There will be several comic books to collect throughout the city, that can then be read on the disc.(This is awesome. I've been waiting for this to come back since Enter Electro.)
-There will be interior levels. The first part of the game is Peter Parker visiting Oscorp and here you'll see several of the experiments taking place.(Rhino,Vermin,Iguana and Scorpia were mentioned.) During this scene a breakout ensues.
-After this level is when the Free Roam begins. You'll be able to stop muggings, bank robberies and car thefts. Civilians will react to you by asking for autographs and Taking pictures with their cell phones. As the story progresses they'll shout about different things you've been involved in.
-There are two different upgrade systems. One for combat and the other for tech(including web shooters.)
-The combat is similar to the Arkham series. One button for combat and one for dodging.
-Alistair Smythe is one of the main antagonists and creates several Different Spider Slayer models.
