After reading this, why do I get the strange feeling that we're going to be seeing the return of Spidercide?

I know I originally said "No Ben, no sale," but if it is indeed Kaine behind the mask, I'll give it a shot, only because I like Kaine, as well. In fact, he's the reason I picked up Grim Hunt.

It seems like Marvel's trying to build the Spider-family back up to where DC has the Bat-family. They're still lacking in active females though. And I do think the changes they made for the first few issues of Spider-girl weren't for the best. Still having her father, her connection to Ms Marvel over Sue Storm, those were things that helped make her different from Peter.

I'm glad the legacy is back, though I still miss Ben Reily..

On another point of view, I always would have love to read a teaming of Ann Nocenti and Ted McKeever on a Spider-title, SCARLET SPIDER could fit, at a time or another..

That costume looks suspiciously similar to the costume from Spider-Man Unlimited (the TV show). Also reminscent of Miles Morales. I have to say I preferred the original.

People in Austin, TX are known for being nice, but for the most part Houston is known for not being too nice throughout Texas and Louisiana, at least in the circles I travel.

Is the guy or girl behind the mask on the run before he puts on this mask and takes this name or after? If you are hiding it is best to take on a new identity.

How can this be a girl from that image?

My bet is that you will see Kaine taking up the moniker of Scarlet Spider. That being said, when word gets around that the name is in use again, that would be a good time for Ben Reilly to come out of the woodwork, and start investigating into who this masked man really is.

Also, I wonder if they will acknowledge the fact that there is a current Scarlet Spider out there already? Member of the Initiative, Counter-Force, and finally the New Warriors.
