I know it would be different than that crap. But that crap was rushed. I can have Emma and Scott get married but I want that to be a believable step for them. Emma seems to want to take it, Scott is still calling Emma part of the people he can't fully strust to Storm.

I want Scott's issue with Emma fully dealt with before either of them pulls the proposal. Not just have it happen one issue and then next, we see a big wedding.

How long to take a fraction of her money for salon appointments and parlay it into more millions with a little unprovable insider trading?

Although I do find the idea of making Utopia profitable, an actual productive economy, kind of interesting. Given the mix of abilities on the island, what kinds of services do you think they could offer to the US, and world, markets?

Obviously, Storm could charge big bucks for weather forecasting and modification, the same kind of stuff she used to do in Africa for nothing but being called a goddess. Yes, even if she's leery of making big shifts in the weather over large areas, there's no way her powers aren't sufficient for, one, being more accurate than all the meteorologists in the entire weather service, and two, shifting things like storm tracks and the timing of droughts and frosts and such in relatively subtle ways.

Magneto's powers are sufficient for some pretty huge tasks. He's more than capable of doing things like launching (metallic) satellites into orbit without a rocket, undercutting the couple of million dollars such a launch costs normally, or even grabbing a small nickel iron asteroid from space and landing it gently next to a smelting operation, providing enough high-quality ore to sustain the steel industry for a decade. Then there's construction, salvage recovery, etc., etc. Although the salvage recovery might impinge on Namor's area a bit...

And Magneto is enough of a technical genius that he should really be on the X-Squad, and they should be able to be churning out patents in a very Reed Richards-like manner.
    These are good ideas.

As for Scott getting married yeah right. He is already trying to bang storm just look at that astonishing cover.

He was calling it as it is, what it will look like on the global stage. people will see cyclops and a bunch of scary people, if they know anything about mutant history (and they should in san francisco because they opened a mutant museum that was recently blown up. it mentioned Emma as a villain 3 of the 4 times she was referred.) but he was saying Storm is going to literally be his conscience, anytime she feels things are not kosher in the decisions being made, his infrastructure becomes so much weaker.

    This is... interesting.

You can look at two ways:

    1) Emma openly becoming a doormat, and is now not only emotionally, but literally giving everything to Cyke and his cause. Even though she doesn't believe it.

    or

    2) Emma telling Cyke off in her a (semi) bitchy fashion.

    I don't know what I think.

I think it's one. Remember she did this with Shaw now she's regretting that decision. But It's sad that she's pretty muched faced with these tough decisions.

It's too early too tell really. But Gillen's writing her and he's says she's her favorite and this is the most Emma thing I've seen Emma do in a long time. I think we can trust to see where this goes.

why is emma a 'doormat' because she believes in what cyclops is trying to accomplish? she misses her old life but is clearly embracing what the x-men have built on utopia. some people need to take a serious step back...

I think Emma came out good here. She called him out on some things. And she is sticking around to see that what they started doesn't fall through.

Like I said, its interesting because its a mix of two vibes. But she is now giving up her money to support Cyclops, even though she openly doesn't support his cause. Giving up everything for her man, even though she would rather do or be elsewhere... you can either say Emma has "grown" as character by this or has been completely broken from what she once was.

I want to be hopeful, but I have gotten a bit cynical when it comes to change in the X-Men. So hopefully it will be a good thing.

yeah, but she never said she doesn't support it. her actions clearly say otherwise. she says she's a teacher and she yearns to still be one.

as emma say, "the difference is paramount."

It's an all or nothing move and I know she loves him...but it seems like a recipe for disaster. Maybe it's cause I'm cynical at the moment but I wouldn't advise anyone doing that if they're significant other was really that emotionally immature and behaving like such an asshat.

Not to mention Summers and his record on gfs and wives which actually Frost should be well aware of seeing as how she got scott in the first place.

Still once again should have gotten money from Roberto.

i'm not sure that Scott was saying he doesn't trust Emma. It would make no sense at all when in all the other issues he clearly thiought and said that he loved Emma and trusted her. So yeah, it doesn't make any sens at all and I would like to have an answer from Gillen because I'm not pleased at all with that. It's fucking incoherent if that's the case
