I wish the article had both panels side-by-side for this:
Speaking of other books, "Amazing" #670 linked up pretty well with "Venom" #7 by writer Rick Remender and artist Tom Fowler. In both issues there's a scene where Reed Richards greets a webbed up Anti-Venom and they were almost identical. Are you reading the other "Spider-Island" tie-ins so you can create sequences like that?

I love Humberto Ramos's work, always have. His Spidey work with Jenkins is some of my favorite. Good to see him getting some of the limelight.

    Everyone makes jokes about him?))
But really he is awesome. But I still would prefer Caselli over Ramos.
There's a bit of Spider-Man in all of us.

You and me both. I've never thought too highly of Ramos' work. Too cartoony for my tastes. Stefano would be a definite upgrade. Sorry, Humberto.

I love Humberto Ramos' art on Amazing Spider-Man. The cartoon edge that he brings to the title's aesthetics suits the character and his environment very nicely. I will never understand what the appeal is for a more realistic approach. It may work in a title like the Ultimates but in a Spider-Man title it seems so blunt and boring. His renditon of Spider-Man along with that of Joe Madureira's are some of my most favourites. They make things exciting, something akin to Quentin Tarantino directing a film as opposed to a soap-opera director. Great work Humberto, keep the pages coming!

People make fun of his artwork because it is terrible. For most of us who have followed Spider-Man for the long haul know this. The title has seen much better artist in the past and it will see much better in the future. Unfortunatly we must endure this low point in the title and know the future will be brighter because it cant get much worse.
As for the writing. I enjoy the stories they have come up with. It's just to bad Marvel hasn't used a better artist to illustrate whats being written
