The big rumors are better and varied arenas, news ticker, and more universe controls. Sounds like story mode may be cut as it takes up the most amount of data for more wrestlers and tweaks.

I honestly wouldn't expect much more than updates to the current scheme, slight engine and graphics tweaks, and one maybe two 2K spins on things.

Basically same shit, different year. But I badly want to be wrong!

My issue with story modes since they dropped the real story mode you did with your caw is that i don't want to play as, say, HHH.And i really don't want to play as HHH and have to do special things to unlock more matches.
Just do it normal, make a caw, starts in nxt, moves up the ranks, story goes a year or two and ends with you main eventing mania.

Yeah, I never liked that you essentially HAD to play as certain characters. I sort of preferred it when you could play story mode with any character (CAW's especially).

Which is why I usually stick with Universe Mode. It's the closest thing to career mode as I can get and I can have my CAW rise up in the ranks

I am expecting the change in the franchise to be next year (2k15). I am guessin 2k14 wont be that different than ww13 since 2k just got the license and they have to release it. They even are realeasing it earlier. Its the same yukes so I guess the game was already "under construction" before THQ went out.

Agree. I think the big change will be whenever they start making the game for NextGen, either 15 or 16.
