So many times is this now, that the Red Circle heroes are trotted out? Third? Fourth? I've lost track...
Comics still reading: Saga, Sixth Gun, Walking Dead, All New X-Men, Daredevil, Fury MAX. DC New 52 isn't the worth the paper its printed on...

I'm less enthused about the fact that is being released as part of a Sub service, through an apparently proprietary digital format. Why not just release through ComiXology? Archie already has a good footprint through there. Why split your service? Seems doomed to fail.
While I do like that SOMEONE is attempting a 'digital first' release format, the delivery method seems to be less then ideal.

Let's see.
The originals would be the Golden Age.
Then you had the Archie Adventure period, which gave us Simon & Kirby's Fly and Lancelot Strong Shield, and the Jaguar.
This lead to the Mighty Comics period, with Flyman and the Mighty Crusaders. (and this period was really camped up).
There was also an attempt shortly there after by Gray Morrow (involved with Archie's first Red Circle Comics run to do a new Black Hood. This would later see print in the late 70s or so in the Archie Super Hero Digest).
Then you had the second Red Circle period under Rick Buckler et al that had a good start with some creative people (include Toth and Ditko and Steranko and others) that soon slide into poor work and died.
There was yet another revamp attempt that never got off the ground under the "Spectrum" name, I think.
Then you had the DC Impact line and the more recent DC Red Circle line.
There is a nice Mighty Crusaders site out there on all of this as well.
I think Ill give these New Crusaders a shot, it will be nice to have more archie stuff to read other than Sonic and Mega Man.

Wow -- that was really interesting. That particular era of the Crusaders was my favorite -- it started off so amazing. But there's a real shift about 7 issues in, right around the time Buckler mentions the "interventions" he faced.
Shame. Because they were really crafting some good stories, and I've always felt if they'd left them well enough alone, that line of comics would've had a good long run. It really WAS that good at first.
