Johnson must not learn he is the reincarnation of Thor? That's my guess.
I bet that this have something to do with 'The Truth' storyline.

For me personally, it's nice to see the introduction of a new African American character in the Marvel Universe. Still not sure what to make of this mini, though. Guess we'll have to wait until FI concludes...

I like reincarnation of Thor, but really not sure how that would work. Could also be reincarnation of the serpent?
I have mixed feelings. Yes, we do need more black super heroes, but we need them without making them look like affirmative-action-side-kicks (i.e. War Machine, Falcon, Luke Cage--to a lesser extent). I always get a little nervous when Marvel introduces new African American superheroes.
^Side note: I like Miles Morales because he BREAKS the mold.![]()
If the guy is in Afghanistan, that would be a good occasion to use Gauntlet again.
But I bet they won't.
This one seems pretty damn obvious-
"Father: ODIN
Brother: THOR"
Those gods like to get around.
As for the bottom, I'd go with...
"He must not learn he is the HEIR/NEW KING/INHERITOR of ASGARD"
If Thor and Odin both go down in #7 then Asgard needs an heir. Can't be loki. I'm guessing the public is going to be on one massive anti-asgardian kick after fear itself (something that has been a long time in coming) and knowing that another god-man is out there would be a major problem for the global population.
It would also fit with Fury's caterpillar files if he's been keeping an eye on this guy for years knowing who is dear old dad is.
I'm STILL with Iron Man.
I bet he's the son of Nick Fury and will become the new Nick Fury just in time for the Avengers movie.
I always like to see military characters. Hope its a cool character!
RIP Spider-Man
The other Captain America being teased seems most likely. But as always with Marvel the peoples guesses here will be more exciting then the actual reveal.
Great to see another military themed hero, but if you are going to have a West Point graduate he cannot be a sergeant. All West point grads start out as 2 lieutenants and cannot ever become sergeants. Please, if you are going to write about the military, do your BASIC research.
I immediately thought the same thing, rrcurran. If they want him to be an Army Ranger, that's tough enough training. But he had to be a West Point grad too, and top of his class. UGH! He's the best of the best of the best!
They didn't mention that he was also the captain of his football team at the Point, and didn't get his commission because he exposed a cheating scandal at the school. He could have gotten out, but became an enlisted man, because he didn't want to waste the training he had received.. Yup, that's what happened. He's a HERO!
