For a code name I'd suggest something like Sparrow. Naming her after a bird would be very poetic.

Chimera usually imply being half one thing and half another, like a Centaur. I haven't heard about it being used as either a hero name or a villain name.

Too bad that there is already one; in classic fantasy it's a monster with parts of differing animals. Per Wiki, "The term chimera has also come to describe any mythical animal with parts taken from various animals."

There's also Mosaic as an option. :)

A little too edgy (pun unintended). Despite the blade things, he'd be more like a traditional hero type rather than say Wolverine. Whichever X-Men character is more quiet/shy and unassuming. So the name should probably be something cool but not 'badass' like Edge.

I don't even know what Kusanagi is. Might work better for an Asian character.
Talon and Raptor both sound more like bird or lizard themed heroes/villains.

Kusanagi means "Grass Cutter."

Named for a really kick ass sword.
