So Kurt! is an Astro City animated movie/series in the works?
Any scientist who isn't willing to kill for science isn't really a scientist at all.
If could send a note to your past self, what would it be?
This is awesome! Kurt, your tenure on Avengers is one of my all time favorites! Thanks for taking the time to chat with us here in this forum!
Are there any characters (hero or villain) that you wanted to use during your Avengers run that Marvel said you couldn't use?
Hello Kurt,
Are current plans to have the new Astro City ongoing 20 or 22 story pages per issue , or to vary as the story demands?
Thanks!
What happened to the Astro City relaunch?
Nope. There's a live action movie in development.
But "in development" is a long way from anything guaranteed, of course. We'll have to see what happens.
The name itself is Polish, but the family roots are German, I'm told.
"Invest in Apple Computer and Microsoft early on."
Glad you enjoyed the run, sir.
Not really, aside from, "We probably can't use the Beast, right?" "Right."Are there any characters (hero or villain) that you wanted to use during your Avengers run that Marvel said you couldn't use?
I had plans for Zodiac that were put off because there was a Zodiac in ALPHA FLIGHT, and I never got back to them, but that was more timing than "you can't use them."
24 pages, same as always.
Not soon. I'm horrendously overcommitted and under-healthed.
Still on the way. Just turned in another script a couple of days ago.
We've had a variety of delays related to various business and contract and scheduling and health stuff, but we're stumbling forward, and when we're ready, we'll be there.

I have a question and it has probably been asked many times before but anyway.
How did you feel when you found out that your idea to bring back Jean Grey was becoming a reality?
Actually, I think you're the first to ask.
Surprised. Basically pleased, but aware that it was going to be one of those stories that some people were going to like a lot and some were going to hate.
A little bit wishing I could do it my way, rather than have others, no matter how good, reworking the idea.
Very, very happy that Jim Shooter decided I should be paid for it, because I was screamingly broke at the time and he paid me for two issues worth of plot at John Byrne's plot rate, and the money came in very handy.
Annoyed when they misspelled my name in the credits.

nice...
I liked it.
I have a dozen longboxes full of comics stored away, but with a few others, the Godstorm mini-series sits on my coffee table with the current magazines and fancy books.
Have you talked to Steve Rude since?

Hi Kurt,
I tried to ask you this question at the Bristol comic con back in 2006 or whatever it was (this was pre-diagnosis so time is a bit disjointed) but I didn't phrase it very well, so let me ty again:
If you can remember (it was a while ago now), what was the thought process behind bringing Justice to the New Warriors and why him? Was it simply a desire for new blood? What counted against Nova at that time?
Also, do you think the "Kang War" mayu have benefited from even slight acknowledgment in another title or was it always intended to be soley Avengers related? What was your ideal?
Thanks for taking the time to answer.
Cheers.
James.
