Default Matt Wagner's Grendel - a fan film

    Hi everyone,

I am a San Diego filmmaker who has been a fan of Matt Wagner's Grendel series since it began back in the 80's. I have also waited patiently for it to be made into a movie. Apparently it was optioned back in 2005 by Warner Brothers, but the way Hollywood functions I will be surprised if it is ever made.

Since it appears to be in production limbo, I have taken it upon myself to do a short movie based on it. The story revolves around the final hours of Hunter Rose as told from his grand-daughter Christine Spar's point of view. The fight sequence will be provided by John Duza and James Flores of X-Force Self Defense (http://www.youtube.com/user/XForceSelfDefense).

A few scenes have already been shot. You can follow our progress here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Matt-W...91448127538314.

Upon completion it will be put up on YouTube for all to see.

    Wish us all luck.

    - Mike

Good luck, Mike! I, for one, will certainly be keeping an eye out.

I think you'll like it. We are about 25% done with it at this point and I am very satisfied with the look and feel.

    Trailer looks good so far.

This could be a class production all the way.
