Wait, so we're hating T'Challa having 6 arms? It's part of an event where other characters are going through the same thing. I love me some comics sometimes for surprising stuff, especially if well written. I never in my life expected to see a 6 arm T'Challa and I think it could be rather fun.

But whatever. Guess I'll be the hard one out. I understand the pessimism we have due to how downplayed our character has gotten, but there's gonna be times where we should learn to step back for a tad. Liss has been writing his ass off and trying to please us. Some times he succeeds and some times there's more to be desired, but he at least shows that he understands the character and gets our love for him and what we want to see. Hell, I wasn't a big fan of the last few issues of Fear Itself tie-in but the overall readers, even long time fans, dug it. While others loved Stormhunter, some others didn't.

It seems whatever Liss is doing now, we're just jumping all over to trash it. Hell, we know after this arc, he faces Kingpin's team without the extra limbs, so what are we stressing about? It's a way of trying to draw in some new readers and if this thread and the other threads are indication, we are gaining new readers and they're even checking out the older stuff and asking us questions about the mythos. Despite the ups and downs of Liss' writing, we all even admit this is some of the best we've seen of T'Challa in a LONG time!

I wonder if Storm would find a six-armed T'Challa REALLY beneficial to her, if you know what I mean.

    Woot 5000 Again.
IF Marvel has Storm and the Black Panther being married from the very start (like Medusa and Black Bolt, or Susan and Reed Richards or whatever), AND still had Black Panther with his genius-level intellect, jaw-dropping technology (including Shadow Physics), his status as KING AND his cat-based powers, I would not mind a reboot at all.

One of the things Marvel really needs to do is to get readers USED to seeing two black people in love with each other. That way, when readers see it so much, they will be used to it, will see nothing wrong with it (because we all know some people do have problems with it), and they won't be so quick to cry foul over it.

And, the fact that Storm and the Black Panther are STILL apart after all this time is extremely ridiculous. And I KNOW that this is not David Liss' fault. I blame Marvel editorial and the powers-that-be at Marvel for this. Has there EVER been a married couple in Marvel's comics that have been apart as long as Storm and T'Challa have been?

I just read Batwing. My God, that is what I want out of my TChalla. The art,the writing, and the sheer danger of the book. Massacre actually scares me. Hopefully this book is successful, so it will free up BP from having to be more "relatable".

Hmmmmm.... Nope. Storm should have been mad cos it's the second time BP did it.

That isnt just a Marvel problem. I cant think of Black super hero couple in DC either. Its hard to think of a black couple period in the DC universe. I guess Batwing is going to have one.

I know DC had Vixen and the Bronze Tiger in a romantic relationship for a while, but they broke up at some point.

Well, the Black Panther is currently in Hell's Kitchen "to find himself," as he explained it to Storm...but when did he "leave" her the first time?

This is the only time that I have known them to really be apart for so long ever since they married each other.

BP left her when they were young. It was narrated in the black panther animated series.
