YES! Hawkeye is the new Academy instructor. I'm sooo very happy. Please, Christos, tell me you're going to write real Hawkeye and not Bendis' homicidal!suicidal!moron!ninja!Hawkeye.
Loved the panel with the Whackos (and Simon, more in character right there than anything Bendis is doing with him!), though I still really worry about who's being killed off. At this point, it's almost got to be Living Lightning or Firebird/La Espirita, right? Trying to think who else would be available who's not in a comic (unless they're fudging the rules and it's a supporting character/groundskeeper who's killed).
I think the event order is Spider Island, Fear Itself, Schism. Here's why:
In one of the Avengers tie-in issues, Spider-Man's spider sense is clearly shown going off. So, assuming Spidey gets his sense back in Spider Island (which I know is a big assumption on my part) that fits.
In Spider Island, Wolverine is shown working with Emma Frost and Storm. We all know Emma doesn't side with him after Schism so they more than likely wouldn't be working together.
After doing the math, it makes sense....again....my opinion.
The chronology really IS all whacked right now and I don't think a few more weeks will change that, sadly.
Part of the reason is the every other month schedule of Children's Crusade that has a huge moment in it with the mutants which is being played out right now in X-Factor but nowhere else, and it makes you wonder where and when it fits into anything. Clearly all the mutants seem to working well together so it appears pre-Schism, especially as the first issue of X-Factor to be post-Schism will be #230 and the most recent #225 is referencing events in Children's Crusade #6.
Schism is supposed to take place after Fear Itself (at least the X-Men part of it), yet there were some problems with that.
In Fear Itself issues of X-Men the team is not fractured and they're all playing nicely with one another, so that makes it clear it takes place before Schism where they all break apart.
BUT Colossus in Schism is regular Colossus, NOT Juggernaut Colossus, so that's either a case of the left hand not knowing what the right is doing or whatever! lol
I remember a few years back when all of the arcs one month for the Ultimate Line ended at the same time, so that the next month would be a new arc kick off month, everyone back on the same page as if it was a new #1 launch (which, thankfully, that time, it wasn't).
I think Marvel needs that now more than ever, especially with several mini events and their tie-ins occurring at the same time as a major linewide event involving the same character involved in the former.
I dont read Marvel any more but the picture of the Misfits reminded me to check out their site and they have a new album (WOO-HOO!), so thanks Marvel!
The Misfits visited Marvel comics??? Cool!![]()

Looks like some interesting changes are being put into effect in Avengers Academy. Might be something cool indeed.
I don't think it necessarily means that Hawkeye won't be in one of the other Avengers-books tho', since Luke Cage is doing just fine with the double-duty in Thunderbolts. It's more of a side-gig, so to speak.
I GIVE UNTO YOU:
THE MOST COMPLEX AND LIFE-LIKE COMIC-BOOK CHARACTER OF ALL TIME! THE ESSENTIAL, QUINTESSENTIAL, AND *ANY* OTHER -SENTIAL, PERSONALITY EVER CREATED!
BEHOLD...!!

Uncanny X-Men #1 has Colossus not wearing his Juggernaut helmet in at least one scene. I'm assuming that he was ordered not to bring the helmet to San Francisco because the last time the public saw a "Juggernaut" he was tearing up the city. Having him "show up" pretty much kills Cyclops plan of showing that mutants were powerful but peaceful.
What surprises me the most about Schism is that Mayor Shadie Sadie decided to still open the mutant tolerance museum after Cyclops threatened to kill her if she got in his way ever again.

Kiel, Thanks for taking my question! And Axel, thanks for your answer! I'm happy to know subs will be made available.
Keep up the great work.
Stop letting the events overlap, or actually edit the books so characters tied up in say, Schism aren't showing up everywhere else.
Thanks, I hadn't seen the preview, so that could be it. I was just under the impression that he could take the helmet off, but not the armbands, and he was wearing the pre Juggy version of his costume in Schism; when he took the helmet off at the end of the Fear Itself arc, the rest of the costume remained changed. Also, it appeared in Fear Itself that the stuff was a part of him, not a cosmetic thing he could leave at home, you know what I mean?
I think it's more a case of you and I trying to make sense of something that was an editorial snafu! lol
Chronology wise I think Schism has to come last.
Everything else is hard.
