Man... it's getting ridiculous, everything up to the "what can you tell us about the Court of Owls" question is the exact same interview Snyder's given for the past two months. Of course, this is partially due to no one asking any new questions, but man, it's getting to the point where I just read the first sentence and think "yeah, read this answer before" and move on to the next.

Anyways, sounds like the Court of Owls is basically going to be Snyder's equivalent to the Black Glove, but cooler. I mean, at the end of the day, Black Glove was really just Hurt and a bunch of goofy looking villains that didn't pose any greater threat than Hurt. So the thought of this organization, sort of like a twisted evil Freemasons, Knights Templar, etc where you don't know who could be part of it, sound's pretty interesting.

    Great interview.

I do find it interesting that Snyder seems to still see Batman as the sole defining factor in Bruce's life, while TEC, BATMAN AND ROBIN, and THE DARK KNIGHT are moving away from that characterization.

Agree...a lot of the Qs and As have been done before, but there's a lot of juicy information about the enemy Batman is going to face. Court of Owls sound really cool. Birds prey on Bats, Robins, and with how Snyder is always going with his "Dick Grayson is going to take down Bruce" angle, it is really likely that Dick has ties with the Court of Owls

I love to read/hear this guy talking about Batman, even when I've already read several of this questions before.

And the cover for #5 is awesome!

So the Court of Owls is basically The Black Glove, good one Snyder.

It is sounding like Dick Grayson might be taking a bit of a villain\anti-hero turn at least with regards to his relationship with Batman.

Yeah almost everything about the Court of Owls sounds awfully like The Black Glove. But that's not bad - I'm still psyched to see how this will work. I also can't help but think "Owlman" when I hear about this.

Or vice versa? Snyder keeps saying Dick is the guy who needs to take Bruce down if he gets out of line.

I always get annoyed when he says this "Dick will have to take Bruce down if he dgoes to far" stuff, and then he mentions Batman Beyond and Teh Dark Knight Returns as supposrting atht?, nonsense, in all of those stories Bruce didnt need to be taken down and definitely never went "too far".

Probably not. I'd imagine that John Doe ran into Nightwing at some point and that's where the DNA samples come from, and it's all a total coincidence.

But Bruce won't approach him directly about it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is feeling that way. I don't really even get what too far means, since he's not even willing to use the slightest amount of lethal force.

His thoughts on Bruce seem to be the exact opposite of what Grant has done for the character. Which is weird because it doesn't really show in his work. At least not in issue 1.

While it seems unlikely, if Dick did take Bruce down, what would that mean for the role of Batman. I wonder if this concept leaves the idea of Dick becoming Batman again open to possibility.
